DAY 1 – Depart the UK

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Denver. Upon arrival, collect your AlamoGold rental car and proceed to your hotel.

DAY 2 – Denver

Today you are free to explore the ’Mile High City’ of Denver. You may choose to take the US Mint tour, visit Molly Brown House Museum or experience the wide choice of shopping options.

DAY 3 – Boulder

Driving distance: 29 miles/47 km

A very short drive today brings you to the quaint town of Boulder. Small boutiques, sidewalk cafés and a wonderful market are all worth a visit. Nestled into the base of the Rocky Mountains, this mountain community also offers an array of outdoor pursuits.

DAY 4 – Estes Park

Driving distance: 38 miles/61 km

Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest encircle the town of Estes Park, which is surrounded by hiking trails, beautiful mountain scenery and an abundance of wildlife.

DAY 5 – Saratoga

Driving distance: 229 miles/368 km

One of the longest drives today, but wonderfully scenic as you commence with a drive through Rocky Mountain National Park before crossing the state border into Wyoming. On arrival, relax in one of the therapeutic natural hot springs which Saratoga is renowned for.

DAY 6 – Riverton

Driving distance: 190 miles/306 km

Crossing the Continental Divide, your journey takes you north to the small town of Riverton. En route we suggest a stop at South Pass City Historical Site where you can pan for gold and view historic buildings from the 1860s.

DAYS 7 & 8 – Yellowstone National Park

Driving distance: 228 miles/366 km

One of the most majestic national parks in the US, Yellowstone has many diverse areas to explore over the next two days. Follow the geyser circle, a hike which commences and ends at the famous Old Faithful Geyser, drive up to Mammoth Hot Springs or perhaps take a boat out on Lake Yellowstone.

DAY 9 – Jackson

Driving distance: 112 miles/180 km

Whilst crossing southern Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Park, you have a great chance of spotting grizzly bears, moose and buffalo. The small town of Jackson, predominantly known for skiing and outdoor adventure, has great character and offers a great evening of traditional dining and western-style bars.

DAY 10 – Vernal

Driving distance: 285 miles/458 km

Time for some souvenir shopping this morning, before continuing south through Bridger and Teton National Forest, then it’s on to Vernal in North East Utah.

DAY 11 – Steamboat Springs

Driving distance: 163 miles/262 km

An early start today if you wish to take a trip to both the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and Dinosaur National Monument en route to Steamboat Springs. The Steamboat Grand Hotel is a popular choice due to its beautiful and tranquil setting.

DAYS 12 & 13 – Aspen

Driving distance: 156 miles/251 km

Although renowned for its skiing, Aspen has so much to offer in every season, including hiking, bicycle and horse riding. Aspen is also home to some of the best restaurants in the mid west and attracts many celebrities, many of whom have homes in the area.

DAY 14 – Colorado Springs

Driving distance: 155 miles/250 km

Heading east, today’s journey will weave through the Rockies, along Independence Pass and alongside Mount Elbert, Colorado’s highest point, to Colorado Springs. We recommend a visit to Pike’s Peak and the United States Air Force Academy during your stay.

DAY 15 – Return to the UK

Time for some last minute shopping or sightseeing before making your way back to Denver Airport to return your hire car and check in for your flight back to the UK.
