DAY 1 – Depart UK

Take your chosen scheduled flight to Vancouver. Upon arrival, take the complimentary transfer to your hotel. This evening meet your fellow travellers for a welcome reception.

DAY 2 – Sunshine Coast

Following breakfast, you'll enjoy all the attractions Vancouver has to offer, including Vancouver Aquarium, Stanley Park, English Bay and Chinatown. Visit historic Gastown and Cypress Mountain Lookout, both offering stunning views. As you cross Howe Sound, the spectacular wilderness of the Sunshine Coast is laid out before you. Your accommodation tonight is tucked into the coast overlooking Halfmoon Bay.

DAY 3 – Victoria

Today takes you across the Strait of Georgia to Vancover Island where you discover the charming village of Chemainus, scattered with antique stores, art galleries and quaint cafes. On arrival in Victoria enjoy an orientation tour of Inner Harbour, the Parliament Buildings and Bastion Square.

DAY 4 – Victoria

It's an early start this morning to Butchart Gardens, where you enjoy breakfast and a brief talk on the gardens and history, before spending some time exploring the gardens yourself. The afternoon in Victoria is free to do whatever you choose.

DAY 5 – Kelowna

Following a short ferry ride back to mainland, you journey alongside the Coast Mountains, over the Cascade Mountain Range and through the Okanagan Valley to Kelowna. Canada's wine capital, Okanagan boasts over 60 wineries producing a number of world-class vintage labels.

DAY 6 – Banff National Park

Remember to keep your camera ready as today's journey takes you through no fewer than four of Canada's amazing national parks; Mount Revelstoke, Glacier, Yoho and Banff. Discover primeval forests, Ice Age glaciers, spectacular waterfalls and mountain peaks. Weather permitting you'll take a guided walk through 1000 year old red cedars at Giant Cedar. Cross the Continental Divide at Kicking HOrse Pass where all the Rivers of North America flow to either the Pacific or Atlantic Oceans.

DAY 7 – Banff National Park

A full day in Banff provides plenty of time to see and do whatever you wish. Take a float trip down the Bow River, a helicopter tour of Mount Assiniboine, hike one of the many trails or simply make use of the hotel facilities which include an 18 hole golf course, bowling centre, indoor and outdoor pools and the Willow Stream Spa offering a range of treatments to help you unwind.

DAY 8 – Yoho National Park

An interpretive walk along the shore of Lake Louise, Canada's 'Diamond in the Wilderness' provides interesting detail on the history and geography of this spectacular area. Next visit Moraine Lake, crowned by ten notable peaks, another great icon of the Canadaian Rockies. Before arriving at Yoho National Park, a stop at the Spiral Tunnels viewpoint gives an insight into their contruction.

DAY 9 – Jasper National Park

Journey along Icefields Parkway and view Crowfoot Glacier, hanging from a cliff face some 900 feet above and Columbia Icefield, North America's largest sub-polar ice pack. Next, climb aboard a specially-designed Ice Explorer at Athabasca Glacier for a once-in-a-lifetime guided tour over steep grades, snow and ice. Your next two nights are at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in the heart of Jasper National Park. After dinner, you're treated to a local wildlife expert's presentation on the park's residents which include elk, moose, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, grizzly bear, black bear, beaver and caribou.

DAY 10 – Jasper National Park

This morning, join your tour director for an interpretive walk at Maligne Coast, a beautiful gorge. Stroll along the canyon's trail, past towering waterfalls, astounding rock formations and learn about the underground river system. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Perhaps take a boat cruise on Maligne Lake or join a guided nature walk at Mount Edith Cavell.

DAY 11 – Rocky Mountaineer

All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer for two exciting days of rail travel from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. It's an incredible beautiful journey with the vistas changing along the route. Today you cross the Continental Divide and wind through Yellowhead Pass en route to Kamloops.

DAY 12 – Vancouver

This morning, re-board the Rocky Mountaineer for the second part of your rail journey to Vancouver. The scenery changes from high mountains to dense forest and small villages. The tracks follow the river into the rugged walls and dry sagebush landscape of Thomson Canyon until it dramatically merges with the Fraser River.

DAY 13 - Vancouver

Following your busy itinerary, you'll enjoy a day at leisure in Vancouver. Why not pick up some Canadian souvenirs or take a walk along Robson Street, filled with great shopping.

Time for some last minute exploring before you transfer independently back to the airport and check-in for your return flight to the UK.
