DAY 1 – Depart UK

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Boston. Upon arrival, transfer independently to your hotel.

OVERNIGHT: Omni Parker House

DAYS 2 & 3 – Boston

We’ve allowed two full days for you to explore this wonderful city by foot. Discover the Freedom Trail, ride the Swanboats, shop at Quincy Market or try taking a Boston ’Duck Tour’ and get to see the city from land and water. On day three, you’ll meet your tour director early evening for a welcome reception when you can also meet your fellow travellers.

DAY 4 – Williamstown

If you’ve overlooked any sights over the past two days, you’ll get chance to recap as your tour starts with a short tour of the city. Then travel west, taking in the captivating, colourful scenery of Massachusetts en route to Stockbridge for a visit to Norman Rockwell Museum. Continue on through the breathtaking beauty of the Berkshires to the quaint college town of Williamstown.

DAY 5 – Woodstock

This morning it’s farewell to Massachusetts as you continue your tour through the autumnal foliage of beautiful Vermont. Stopping en route at Quechee Gorge, a photo opportunity not to be missed! Visit the Rockerfellers’ famous Billings Farm & Museum depicting a working dairy farm and farm life museum. Then it’s onto Woodstock, this quintessential village is simply stunning with its picturesque covered bridge and quaint, meandering streets for you to stroll along. Finally you will arrive at Stowe, your base for the next two nights. Tonight, choose from a selection of excellent local restaurants.

DAY 6 – Stowe

After breakfast, it’s time to soak up the stunning rural scenery with its amazing blend of fall colours, and enjoy views of Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s tallest peak. Take a trip to Cold Hollow Apple Cider Mill and quench your palate with a taste of fresh cider in the making. Next it’s a guided tour of the world famous Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory with opportunities to sample all sorts of wonderful flavours. Nibble on the ’world’s best cheddar’ at Cabot Creamery and discover all there is to know about making this infamous cheese. After an attraction packed day, return back to Stowe where you can spend the remainder of the day exploring this stunning town.

DAY 7 – North Conway

Once breakfast is over it’s time to continue your tour with a visit to Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. Make sure you sample maple syrup served with a donut and pickle, known as ’sugar on the snow’, this is a true Vermont tradition! Continue onwards towards the White Mountains of New Hampshire as you enter Franconia Notch. Enjoy a stunning and spectacular ride on the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway for panoramic views over New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New York and Canada. Finally, journey onwards along the infamous Kancamagus Scenic Byway to North Conway and your hotel for your next two nights. After a delicious dinner, enjoy a presentation by a naturalist on the North Woods’ wildlife and ecology.

DAY 8 – White Mountains

After breakfast, embrace another spectacular morning of vibrant fall foliage colours as your journey takes you to Crawford Notch. Visit Silver Cascade Waterfall, Bretton Woods and Mount Washington, the tallest peak in the north east. Return back to North Conway and enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore the town or join your tour director and take a walk through the woods.

DAY 9 – Portsmouth

This morning, leave New Hampshire and begin your journey through the deep green pine forests of western Maine. Enter pretty Kennebunkport, the summer retreat of President George H W Bush and enjoy the scenic drive along Ocean Drive that offers breathtaking views of the Maine coastline. Look out for the palatial homes of Kennebunkport’s rich and famous. You’ll have plenty of time here to browse through the many galleries and shops and take a gentle stroll along the waterfront before your journey takes you on to the quaint and historic port city of Portsmouth. You’ll then enjoy a traditional lobster dinner served at a beautiful beach restaurant.

DAY 10 – Return to the UK

After breakfast today, your journey takes you south to the idyllic seaside village of Rockport, Cape Anne. Flower-filled lanes are lined with quaint wooden fishing shacks that lead to charming stores and art galleries, perfect for a leisurely stroll before heading back to Boston Airport for your flight back to the UK.
